In order to expand the subway transportation system in Portland, a new line has been introduced in the city's MAX light rail system in 2009.

The most recent light rail line is the green line that extends up to Clackamas in Oregon. There are as many as eight new stations covered by this MAX light rail line, all of them alongside of Interstate 205.
