What is the Oregon History Project and what can one expect to find online
Oregon History Project is an initiative by the Oregon Historical Society to ensure the present and future generations get a good glimpse of how history shaped itself in the Rose City.
It is a very interactive website with a lot of links for people who wish to experience Oregon and Portland History at the tip of their fingers. This website has a couple of features that need exploration.
- Timeweb - A timeline based interface with images and stories
- Historic Viewers - Layered electronic images that show how the landscape has undergone change
- Narratives - Specific narratives on Oregon's commerce, climate, expeditions and explorations
