Is there a chance for railway transport in Portland and Northwest in general
The Northwest and Portland area are served by two railway services, Amtrak and VIA Rail Canada. Both rail services have systems of passes which can allow you to travel up to 30 days without re buying a ticket.
The services connect most of the major regions on the Northwest using the Coast Starlight, Cascades and The Empire Builder, which are major and important routes connecting important towns and cities.
The routes include Spokane, Washington, the Rockies, San Diego, the Cascade Mountains, Seattle and Portland. The tickets are available in the trains after boarding them. However, some routes and services may require pre booked tickets.
