If you are a movie freak or an ardent adorer of different cultures and genres, a visit to the Laurelhurst Theater of Portland, will leave you overwhelmed, making you long to drop in at this historical landmark again and again. Located at East Burnside Street of Portland, Oregon, this theater with its artistic decor and elegant draperies became an inseparable part of the city's heritage since its inception in 1923 as single screen auditorium accommodating 650 people.

From the time of its first screening, the Laurelhurst Theater has come a long way and at present takes pride in housing four large screens along with a vibrant pub. Hence, while you watch some of the greatest movies and famous classics amidst the comfort of reclining seats, munch on some pizzas and wraps or pop a popcorn to add to the fun; all this and more at a general admission fee of only $3 for adults and $1 for children below the age of 12.

Special Events at the Laurelhurst Theater is no less alluring. Every month of the year sees a special screening of a certain genre of classics such as the 1970s in July, 1980s in August, Staff Favorites in September and so on. Each film under the particular category or genre will be screened for a week and so one can get to see 4 classic movies a month. The July movie list includes Five Easy Pieces, 3 Days of the Condor, Found Footage Festival and The Lat Detail.

The pub menu is an additional attraction at the theater with a variety of wines and beers to quench your thirst and mouthwatering array of snacks, salads and savories to satiate your hunger.
