It was only in the mid-80 that artists began to move in here and help open houses to display their works. Only in the last two decades the Pearl District has got sophisticated and has become Portland's most multi-ethnic neighborhood. Gear up with a dinner style breakfast at byways and travel in the area while enjoying on that. The Daily Cafe is also available to fill you up with mind blowing snacks and cakes.

Pearl District is situated against downtown Portland and upscale Nob Hill District between highway 405 and west Burnside Street. As the streets here are a little cramped up you have to enjoy this place on foot.

It has a very exotic, American name but pearl district has major influences of Asian shops and artifacts. Coco-kimono is one of the stores here where you will find the blend of Asian and French. Much artistic stuff is found here and this shop is like a flea market. Head to Cielo Home and Garden is another store here which has a number of artistic furniture for your home. Gallery Zen is another northwest's largest collection store that display the Japanese antique furniture and house hold things for your homes.

There are many cafes too where you can sip some coffee or some authentic Chinese tea and enjoy your shopping excursion to the fullest. If you get too tired while shopping then you can get a nice foot massage at the spas and massage centers with exquisite Japanese traditional therapies that are available here.
