Airlines & Airports
Portland International Airport (PDX) is located about 12 miles from Portland Downtown. That is a bit far off. But it is smoothly connected through I-46 and with shuttle and bus services. The airport is quite busy holding enough business travelers. It has once been rated as the best airport in USA for business travelers.
The airport does have 5 concourses and excellent internal system for security and deposits. Immigrants especially like the airport because of the acutely less time it takes to free them. The large atrium shaped lounge helps people relax.

Riverfront Cafe and Booiya's are just two o the many eateries placed inside. It also has ATM facilities and connection with Radisson if a plan is long delayed. The airport is a gateway if you wish to travel Portland Oregon. It is connected to almost every major airport in the nation. It also has international flight connection with Canada, Netherlands, and Japan among others.
The airport also runs a few historically cheap routes and these are the talk of the town. Though they are subject to aviation policies, the cheap routes stay more often than not and are a huge bonus to regular commuters. You may get access to it through PDX's official site. They are mostly indoor flights but you may bag a few international flights too.

It holds many airlines but has special corner for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. IT also acts as the management facility for the latter. It uses one of its concourses to hold only these airlines. Among others, Canada Airlines gets the best call.
Portland is not a huge city and so it is absurd that it does have such a busy airport. Perhaps there is no shortage of tourists who travel to Portland on a bye. Portland welcomes them all and PDX is just a way to do it.
Wish your the best time in your trip!
