If you are planning your trip to the OMSI now, chances are you could catch up with a couple of OMSI Kendall Planetarium Fulldome Shows. Now, let's focus on what kinds of shows the Harry C. Kendall Planetarium has prepared for you this year.

1) Starry Nights LIVE

From April 8, 2011 to May 20, 2011, this show would be available at both 12 pm and 2 pm on weekdays. However, if you choose to pay a visit to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry on weekends, you can also enjoy it at 12 pm, 2 pm or 4 pm. It tells the beautiful stories about constellations and is expected to help visitors get a better understanding of various planets of outer space.

2) Ice Worlds

As an educational presentation, the Ice Worlds would show you the balance among water, ice and human life. Besides, it is going to explore the solar system and more. This wonderful show would only be available between April 8 and May 1, 2011. You can catch up with it at 3:30 pm on weekdays, while it would begin at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm or 3:30 pm on weekends.

3) Journey to the Stars

To enjoy this fantastic show, you are suggested to arrive at the Harry C. Kendall Planetarium before 12:30 pm or 2:30 pm on weekdays. If you opt to go to the OMSI on weekends, remember to reach the planetarium at least several minutes prior to 11 am, 1 pm or 3 pm.

This touching presentation would show you the entire life of stars, from their birth to death. You can acquire the basic knowledge of a wide range of planets through this unique show. Plus, the Journey to the Stars would reveal the connection of the life of stars and human beings.

Note: Remember that, tickets for Starry Nights LIVE, Ice Worlds and Journey to the Stars would cost members of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry 4.75 to 5.75 dollars per seat. Plus, visitors are strongly suggested to arrive at the planetarium at least minutes before the shows, since there would never be any late seating for you.

4) Experience the music with Laser Light Shows

This is a series of great laser shows, each of which would cost you 5.75 to 7.5 dollars. And the OMSI members would be able to enjoy a $1 discount. These shows do offer you an unparalleled chance to appreciate choreographed music, from rock to classical. Fabulous laser shows, such as Laser Dance of Light, for April - Laser Ragefest and Laser Pink Floyd: the Wall, are included.

Laser Dance of Light is scheduled to take place repeatedly from April 8 to May 12, 2011. It would begin at 11 am, 1 pm or 3 pm on weekends, while it is only available at 3 pm on weekdays. For April - Laser Ragefest is a laser show that you can only enjoy at 9:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays during April. Laser Floyd: The Wall is also only available from April 8 to 30, 2011. It would take place at 10:45 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

During May and June, plenty of interesting Laser Shows are available as well. And there would be Laser Nirvana at 9:30 pm and Pink Floyd: the Wall at 10:45 pm in May. For those who prefer to make a stop at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry during June, Laser AC/DC at 9:30 pm and Pink Floyd: the Vision Bell at 10:45 pm would be good options for surel.

5) Planetarium History

It is a very meaningful event to celebrate the sixtieth birthday of this historic museum. During this event, a large number of old photos of the Harry C. Kendall Planetarium would be showcased, including pictures of the OMSI's planetarium at original locations - Washington Park as well as NE Hassalo Street. Additionally, a lot of interesting astronomical activities are offered.
