Know More about Rose Garden: The Major Indoor Sports Arena in Portland Oregon
Rose Garden is located on the eastern banks of the river Columbia in Portland Oregon. Its legacy dates back ages owing to its location, which used to be the site of Memorial Coliseum - also an indoor sports arena standing from 1959. It used to be one of the primary venues for sports and games, housing more than 12,000 people with its old capacity. Concerts were known to pull in more than 13,000 people as well.
Today Rose Garden as it is known is a step up from its older days. After the new face-lift in 1993, the venue started hosting a wider range of events, now including ice hockey, circuses, conventions, basketball, drama shows and other performing art acts. The venue is now owned by Vulcan Inc, and is run by popular tech-celeb Paul Allen.
Event management is undertaken by Anschutz Entertainment group, which is one of the biggest names in the US entertainment business. Although sports oriented indoor venue, acoustics at the auditorium matches all international standard arenas. The place covers more than 72,900 square meters, offering a grand abyss of music, laughter, competition, idea exchanges and challenges.
The present capacity of the indoor stadium stands at nearly 20,000 for both, basketball and ice hockey games. End Stage productions and Theater of the Stage at the facility share good 15,000 and 6,500 full seat reputations as well. The arena also incorporates 70 skyboxes. Such facilities offer conveniences like bars, private restrooms and multiple television monitors and other requisites for an entertaining evening.
